Setting up trust for the SSL certificate
When connecting to a Host-99 mail server with SSL enabled, Mail will issue a warning because the root certificate's domain name won't match your mail server's domain name. To fix this problem, you can tell Mail to ignore the discrepancy using one of the three methods described below.
- Open up Mail and allow the “Verify Certificate” window to pop up.
- Click the Show Certificate button.

- Check the box to the left of "Always trust “server***-h-99.net" when connecting to “mail.example.com”.
- Click the Connect button
- You are prompted for your password to update the changes in your keychain:
- Enter your credentials for your Apple Mac, NOT your email password.

That fixes the cert verification warnings. When fetching or sending mail, you may get prompted to enter your email password: simply enter your password for your email address and then click the checkbox to save the password in your keychains.

Mac OS may retain past SSL certificates despite the Mail account having been removed and Keychain Access being emptied of related certificates and passwords. If you find that any of the above steps do not resolve the issue, try removing your account completely from Mail, clear out Keychain Access of server***-h-99.net certificates, and remove any saved passwords for your account. Then, reboot your Mac to flush any remaining configuration of the account from your system. Once the machine logs back in, you can proceed to re-add your email account in Mail.
