Server 14 Scheduled Maintenance (Resolved)

Host 99 Customer,

Server 14 will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Thursday, January 9th, 2013 starting at 10:59pm EST (GMT-5). We will be switching some hardware and you may temporarily experience minor intermittent issues during this time. Due to some hardware failure We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will work as fast as humanly possible to restore the server back to normal. Once restored performance will be more sufficient and accurate with your website requirements.

  1. how much longer will my site be down on server 14? no email, no cpanel, can’t even log in to submit a ticket. please help…

      Joe,

      When we were rebooting the server when originally replaced the hardware yesterday on the 10th according to our announcement to restore all websites the replaced hardware also failed. Do to those circumstances we are setting up a brand new server that we had on backup to get all websites restored.

      We are as frustrated as you are as this is not normal for this type of thing to happen when replacing hardware. Nevertheless, we have been notified the new server is currently being filled with customers data and should be back online very soon.

      We do wish this could be a little faster but unfortunately it does take a little longer then just restoring a single computer. As in the past when something that is out of our controlling such as hardware failure we will get the server back online as soon as possible. We have a team that has been working around the clock to get all websites back online.

      Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience and will update you here or via ticket when it is fully restored. Please note no data or emails will be lost.

    Do you have an ETA of any kind? We have been down for so long now that customers are filing credit card chargebacks and PayPal disputes. Are we going to receive a credit of any kind for the loss of income?

    All data on Server 14 is currently in transfer status to the server. We are as promised working around the clock to restore this situation to stable status. Once the KTM has successfully transfer the data over to the new hard drives the server will then restore your website back to normal. Due to this current event we will settle this through credits for the downtime.

      Any ETA on when this will be completed? Are we talking hours, days?

        Brian,

        At this point I would believe it would be called days already for this unfortunate luck we have had, however I was notified about 25 minutes ago that the data center is setting up the server for propagation, the new server for actual displaying of the website was received around 1 am this morning. Then they will initiate restoring the accounts very soon and we hope to complete in few hours. Usually, once the account restore starts it does not take very long, we do greatly thank you for your patience in this regard.

    I have received notification that the server is now back online. However, data is still being transfered over to the GPU and Hard Drives. It should not be much longer for all restoration of the data being restored. We do value our customers and we greatly appreciate your patience during this time of unfortunate events.

      Robert,

      Data is still being transferred. Once all the data is complete the SSL, emails and ftp will come back to normal and operations will proceed forward.

  7. Also when you go into the xxxxxxxxxxxxx online store it comes up xxxxxxxxxxxxx.com.It’s there title page on top of my site.
